What To Expect Out Of The Box

Upon delivery, the first thing you will notice is how nearly everything comes assembled! After unpacking the exterior padding, the included installation sled will allow the box to be placed behind your Ram Promaster van, where the conversion kit will be placed on the sled, and pushed into the van within minutes. The kit comes in two pieces, each that weigh approximately 300-500lbs. Having multiple people help unload and push into place is recommended.

Installation Process

We've done the 99% of the work for you! The streamlined installation process and included mounting hardware make it easy to customize while maintaining solid structural integrity. Once the two kits are installed into the van and fitted into place, they will expand outwards towards the edge of the walls, maximizing the interior space, providing a perfect fit for your vehicle. All cabinetry, walls, couches, etc. come assembled so all that is required is a flat flooring surface to install the boxes into. This can be as simple as providing a cut plywood floor for your vehicle.

Structure: 

The precision steel structure is a high strength, low allow (ASTM A572 Grade 50) structural steel which offers an excellent combination of strength and weight which keeps overall weight of the kit low, and durability high. 

Safety: 

Each unit is designed with fire retardant materials, and comes with a dry powder fire extinguisher, as well as a Carbon Monoxide Alarm. We also use an Eco-Friendly Low-VOC paint throughout the cabin for a high end feel. 

Warranty:

Ordering: 

Conversion Van kits are made to order. We require 50% deposit to begin production, and the remaining balance due when the kit is finished with production and ready to ship. Typical production time is 3 months, and about 1-2 weeks to ship domestic ground shipping across the United States. Installation can be done in less than an hour, but can vary significantly based on skill and experience. It helps to have multiple people at installation to fit the box into place. 

Accessories: 

We offer various accessories to make your build even easier! Add a fridge or power station to make the whole unit self contained for road trips. Even add a solar panel for more time away so you can charge your battery while on the move. If you have a little one you want to bring along, we offer a folding kids bed that fold away above the bed/couch area easily. You can also choose a shower box to be added so you can shower on the go. When selecting this option, the doorway from the driver/passenger seat will be removed, so the entrance to the living space is limited to the side and rear doors. For those wanting more control over the heating/cooling, or even privacy, we offer a sliding glass door which is placed on the side entrance and the rear entrance. This allows you to open your van doors, and still be protected from the elements, while bringing in more natural light, or even an extra layer of security. Without the glass doors selected, the living space will be open once the van doors are opened.

FAQs:

Q: How much interior space do you loose? 
A: Our kit is designed to slide right through the rear doorway for an easy install. Once inside, the cabinet and couch/bed walls extend all the way to the van walls; so you get the most interior space possible. The ceiling works the same way: it’s built with flexible configurations to maximize height. The only trade-off is that the ceiling paneling reduces overall height by about 2–3 inches. So, whatever your van’s ceiling height is, just plan on it being about 2–3 inches shorter once the kit is installed. For the high roof model, a 6ft tall person can comfortably stand.

Q: What is the power consumption of the kit?
A: Depending on what is used, it can consume varying amounts of power. If the fridge, lights and water pump are all on continuously, it may take up to 120W of power. However this rarely happens to have everything on at the same time, so you could assume the average might be around 60-80W. An Eco-Flow Delta 3 battery, for instance will power the kit for about 1.5-3 days without charging under average use. 

Q: Does the shower or sink come with a pump? 
A: Yes, they come with an electric pump so using the plumbing is simple. 

Q: Does the kit come with heat or AC? 
A: No, the kit itself doesn’t come with built-in heating or cooling. You can always plug a portable heater into the battery system, or use the van’s factory heat and A/C when needed. That said, most customers find the interior surprisingly comfortable. Because the kit walls don’t sit directly against the van’s metal walls, there’s a small air gap (similar to the insulation in a double-walled tumbler) that helps keep the inside temperature milder than outside conditions. If it gets too hot or cold, simply close the sliding door and the van feels great most times of the year. Adding the Magnetic Insulated Window Covers also helps further insulate the van.
